Hi all, this is my first post, best regards! English is not my native language so do not get offended if I misspel something, thnx! So, yesterday I bought i30, 2018, 1.4 mpi, 73 kw with 145000 km. Seller recently changed the clutch (much of city driving), spark plugs and car battery, nothing else was changed except regular changes of motor oil, filters and disk plates. MY question is, when to change serpentine belt and accompanying parts (by the visual inspection belt looks good to me), water pump, gearbox oil, fuel filter (is it liftime?)? Regarding the timing chain i saw that is "liftime" but other informations say that after 200000 km it colud be for replacment, so what experiences you have? Fell free to add sometnig if I for ...

Hi Everyone, I am experiencing an issue with my i30, when slowing down for a corner/roundabout/speed bump, really anything that gets me below 3rd gear, the cars engine just turns off, power stays on because the radio is still going, some of the dash lights come on as well. If I just stop and turn the car back on it's fine until it does it again. It doesn't happen all the time, maybe once or twice when driving, the car has just been for a service where a number of issues were picked up and fixed and this issue supposedly was fixed (due to a clogged air filter) but a few days later it still had the same issue, a check engine light came on and we took it back to the mechanic, he said there was no actual error code and tha ...

It just says stop start stopped and the light comes on the driver's side.. Been told this could possibly be the dpf None of us have seen it regen. But maybe possible missed it. We done today 130 motorway journey and didn't witness anything. But maybe we missed it My partner drives alot in the week too. She's not sure what she's looking for. The car goes well and as zero other problems. Could it be someone as deactivated the stop start system? J ...

SymptomsI have noticed this year (for about a month) that the steering wheel initially makes a single distinct "click" when turned. [Maybe some people would describe it as a soft "clunk". Or possibly "knocking"?] So, regardless of the direction the front tyres happen to be pointing, if I hold the steering wheel stationary there is no click. If I decide to turn the steering wheel, then I can turn it through perhaps 1 cm (roughly 3°) with no noise, then there is the single click, and then it is silent again as I continue to turn the steering wheel. DiagnosisThe sound suggests to me that there could be ' play' in the syst ...

Hi my name is David and i'm new to this forum. I recently bought a i30 and the tpms is blinking everytime I start the car. I've never owned a car with this technology. I have been checking the pressures and nothing has changed. I have even over inflated all tyres to 40 psi with no luck of the light turning off. I've pressed the reset button too. I have recently read that a blinking warning light can mean a faulty sensor or dead battery. Could having Michelin on the front and Pirelli on the back cause a problem? I'm booked in with the dealer for 17th april under warranty to check what the cause is. Is the car ok to drive for a long distant.

Hello, Im looking to replace my spark plugs on my I30 (1.6L G4FJ DOHC Turbo Petrol Direct Inj. 4cyl) Ive been looking up the car on any website I can find, but all have no part that fits my car. Even the NGK sit doesn't recommend one! Nor is the part number supplied in the owner's manual. Ive seen someone recommend the NGK Iridium (SILZKR7E8EG) but also NGK Iridium (SILZKR6D8E), though the latter seems to be a fit for the Hyundai Velositer with the identical engine. Does anyone know what the actual part number is? I can find a part for the Bosch version, but I want the NGK ones. Thank you

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and just bought myself a Hyundai I30 Fastback 2021. (Manual 1.0TGDI) It has many features which we have fell in love with and very interested in the lane features at the moment, The LKA feature seems to be working perfectly and can see it on the dash when it is non active / active / grey / green. However looking at the button on the wheel has led me to believe it has LFA lane following assist or is this just standard fitted to most models on the steering controls even if the feature is not available. As for when i press the button on the wheel no steering wheel shows on the dash along side the LKA feature. Anyone have any clarification on if this feature is not always available i've read somet ...

Hi Folks, I'd been holding off replacing the DCT fluid in my 2017 MY18 i30 but thought I'd give it a whirl yesterday. Ended up being super simple (though I cocked up a bit myself - posting so others don't do the same). Seems nearly all Hyundai & Kia DCTs are very similar - so feel free to apply to other models. SUFFICE TO SAY DO NOT GET UNDER YOUR CAR USING ONLY A JACK, HAVE PROPER STANDS OR RAMPS! 1. Remove the under motor plastic guard (has around 10 hex head screws and a dozen or so plastic press clips) 2. BEFORE you drain the fluid (& obviously have the required 1.9-2L of replacement fluid I used Penrite Progear 70W-75) make sure you can loosen the plug/hole you intend to put the new fluid in!!!! ...
