Hi my name is David and i'm new to this forum. I recently bought a i30 and the tpms is blinking everytime I start the car. I've never owned a car with this technology. I have been checking the pressures and nothing has changed. I have even over inflated all tyres to 40 psi with no luck of the light turning off. I've pressed the reset button too. I have recently read that a blinking warning light can mean a faulty sensor or dead battery. Could having Michelin on the front and Pirelli on the back cause a problem? I'm booked in with the dealer for 17th april under warranty to check what the cause is. Is the car ok to drive for a long distant.

Hello, Im looking to replace my spark plugs on my I30 (1.6L G4FJ DOHC Turbo Petrol Direct Inj. 4cyl) Ive been looking up the car on any website I can find, but all have no part that fits my car. Even the NGK sit doesn't recommend one! Nor is the part number supplied in the owner's manual. Ive seen someone recommend the NGK Iridium (SILZKR7E8EG) but also NGK Iridium (SILZKR6D8E), though the latter seems to be a fit for the Hyundai Velositer with the identical engine. Does anyone know what the actual part number is? I can find a part for the Bosch version, but I want the NGK ones. Thank you

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and just bought myself a Hyundai I30 Fastback 2021. (Manual 1.0TGDI) It has many features which we have fell in love with and very interested in the lane features at the moment, The LKA feature seems to be working perfectly and can see it on the dash when it is non active / active / grey / green. However looking at the button on the wheel has led me to believe it has LFA lane following assist or is this just standard fitted to most models on the steering controls even if the feature is not available. As for when i press the button on the wheel no steering wheel shows on the dash along side the LKA feature. Anyone have any clarification on if this feature is not always available i've read somet ...

Hi Folks, I'd been holding off replacing the DCT fluid in my 2017 MY18 i30 but thought I'd give it a whirl yesterday. Ended up being super simple (though I cocked up a bit myself - posting so others don't do the same). Seems nearly all Hyundai & Kia DCTs are very similar - so feel free to apply to other models. SUFFICE TO SAY DO NOT GET UNDER YOUR CAR USING ONLY A JACK, HAVE PROPER STANDS OR RAMPS! 1. Remove the under motor plastic guard (has around 10 hex head screws and a dozen or so plastic press clips) 2. BEFORE you drain the fluid (& obviously have the required 1.9-2L of replacement fluid I used Penrite Progear 70W-75) make sure you can loosen the plug/hole you intend to put the new fluid in!!!! ...

Hello guys! This is my first time posting on the forum, so bear with me if I make some mistakes. Recently I've brought my first ever car, which is a lovely i30 FD 2009. I love the car so far, I've already fitted a sunroof lamp as mine didn't come with one and also installed an android head unit. Everything is perfect with it mechanically except some electrical issues. My main issue is that the 3rd brake lamp, which is in the rear top, doesn't work when I press the brake pedal. I've found a genuine one and tried to replace it myself. When I connect the new lamp and press the brake pedal, I get the same issue, basically nothing happens. I'm suspecting there might be an issue with the cable. I also have one other strange issue, when I open the ...

Low Oil Pressure Warning at Low RPM – 2017 Hyundai i30 1.4 T-DGI Premium (36k miles, Full Hyundai Service History) Hi everyone, I’ve recently started experiencing a red low oil pressure warning light, but only under specific conditions: It only appears when the engine is up to temperature It only comes on when the revs drop below ~1500rpm At idle (just below 1000rpm when warm), the warning light is consistently on Other than the warning light, the engine sounds normal, and the car generally feels fine to drive. The only thing I’ve noticed is that it might feel a little sluggish in 1st gear when pulling away, but since I haven’t owned it long, I don’t have a solid comparison. The car ...

My 2011 fd Diesel is increasing in oil level. My assumption is it is filling with diesel. The oil is very thin. I have no fault codes and the car runs and drives ok. Anyone got any ideas? I have re-sealed the injectors with no fix. My. ext thought was high pressure fuel pump?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Why can't you buy an EPB switch for a RHD i30 in Australia? I am on my 3rd switch now in a 2018 N Line. First one replaced under warranty no worries but replacing the second one seems to be a drama. I managed to modify a LHD switch easily enough but I want a genuine RHD switch. Can't seem to find one anywhere in the world. Seems Hyundai has got us stitched up on this item.
