It happened again, long term members may recall this happened to me a few years back, well last week as I went to my car after having coffee in M&S and lo and behold when I pressed the spring release button no key popped out

I got out of the car fearing the worst and retraced my step and gues what,  I found the blade on the floor.  If only I could emulate this luck on the lottery.  So I did a jerry fix to get me home then out with the Asathorny patent key fixing kit, I removed the plastic cleat from a small panel pin, snipped it to the appropriate length then with a dot of super glue reassembled it all.  I then left it as you see it overnight for the glue to go off.

Voila, now both my keys have the same fix.  I am now removing the car key from the bunch when driving so that the car key blade is not carrying all the weight of the bunch, so far so good :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

I hope the offering might be of use to one of our happy band of owners  :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

Whilst congratulations are due for your repair - hanging all that ironmongery off the key fob is rather asking for trouble.

Are you a part time jailer or something similar?......... :whistler:

You may cause damage to other vital parts if you walk about with that lot in your trouser pocket.
