  • Sorry, but my karma just ran over your dogma.
This looks like an interesting accessory, especially for members in cold climates who have to put up with snow and ice on windscreens.

Fortunately, I don't need one, but it does look like something our cousins in Europe could do with. Somebody would probably cut & steal it though.

Some poor unfortunate homeless person might nick it and cut a hole in the middle to make a good waterproof poncho

It looks quite good, but how would you see to drive? :whistler:

They thought about people like you, Dave. Instructions quite clearly state:

1. Do not attempt to fit screen while car is in motion.
2. For stationary use only. DO NOT drive with screen fitted.

I wonder what it's like for reflecting the sun/heat?  :undecided:

That's not much good then - if you can only use it when you're not in the car.
Why can't they make it see through like a negligee so that some benefit can still be gained from it whil it is on?

I bought one of these.... :goodjob:

Seems reasonably well made, only thing wrong is it's obviously made for left hand drive cars as the shape across the bottom doesn't quite match. No big deal though.

At £22 its a bit steep when generic car windscreen covers are in the supermarkets for about a fiver.

You're right, it isn't cheap but I liked the fact that this one fits on the outside of the windscreen.

I've used those cheapies and I reckon they are as useless as tits on a bull.......  :whistler:

I guess time will tell if it was a waste of money.....

It's actually held in place by the doors, Dave..... :goodjob2:

The only way to pinch it would be to cut or rip the fastening "wings" off.
