I'm curious how much a difference they make.  0.1MPG? 0.01MPG?  Intuitively, they shouldn't make much of a difference. But, I guess, aerodynamics is often counter-intuitive, especially around the high vortex areas in and around the wheel-well.

Hey SurferDude, did you see the article in the Age http://theage.drive.com.au/motor-news/hightech-golfball-inspired-tyre-20110919-1khou.html about Hankook's new Aero tyres?  Any opinions?

I reckon they'd be even less use than the deflectors which are the subject of this topic. But then, who knows?

i remember seeing those tyres in a magazine a few years ago. there was also a pic of a car that was running rims that had duel tyres on it, similar to a truck.  :cool:

Yep. Yokohama did the dual tyre thingy IIRC.
