this will be the third day out I've organised for summer. I'm hoping to get up a day out for as many members as possible,so its Victoria wide this time. the last two meets were organised for the Christmas holiday period and that's probably not the best time for most people. if anyones interested this time I'm hoping to have it sometime in the new year. summer goes right up till the start of march. [usually] any ideas guys/gals. :razz:

Coal Creek Historical Village, Korumburra....it's free admission.
Wilsons Prom....Free entry to the National Park these days....

Walhalla is very picturesque, and it has a great road in and out of the place....
Worth driving up to the Thompson dam too....especially now it's got a bit more water in it... :)

planes are alright... i dont like them still, but my car cant get to melbourne in 3 hours... a bonus is you dont find freaks on them like you do when you ride the train...
i used the train between 'the valley' and 'central' last weekend... the bloke in the seat across from me looked like he wanted to kill everyone in the carrage... and the bloke in front of me was talking UBER LOUD on his phone... the woman behind looked like she had too much to drink and was going to vomit! and some random guy was trying to help/rape her.

I would be interested. I would prefer a Saturday arvo if possible. I would only have a couple of hours as I'm not sure how impressed my husband will be with my arranging to spend a day with men I met on the internet. :eek: Now that I think about it.......... :faint:

we head up to sheparton about 5 or 6 times a year to the spc factory outlet in maroopna,so I'm not worried about a good drive. :mrgreen: its about a 5 hour round trip. :goodjob:

I really enjoy long distance driving....in fact I've done the trip from home up to Townsville in 2 days a couple of times....but that's really pushing things, 3 days is a bit more relaxing... :goodjob:

Looking at the forecast for next weekend, Sunday is looking the better day.....at this stage Saturday has rain 26c, Sunday a possible shower 22c.... :confused:

we just got home Russ. i ended up doing 553kms over the day and using half a tank of petrol. :goodjob: i can honestly say my son and myself had a great time. thanks to Russ,gaz and kaz for coming along and making the day so excellent. :mrgreen: pity that it was raining in the mountains.

i had a ball,and the hard driving [to keep up] was great. :mrgreen: i still managed to get about 500kms out of half a tank that day. but it wasn't all flooring it driving. :razz:

I'm still on the same tankful, just ticked over 700 clicks.....even with our "drive" and my defensive driving course, I've still averaged 4.8l/100k....Gotta be happy with that... :goodjob:

i had to use all the road to keep up gaz,i don't have 300+ NM of torque in my 2.0 petrol. the left arm was swinging the gears like a one armed wallpaper hanger mate. :lol: great day out,and that feed we had for lunch. :goodjob: will you come on the next one gaz? :razz:
