Think I'll pass, I don't even use the capabilities of my current cheapy....

I might as well rip it out and just use the on board graphics supplied with the motherboard, especially now that the graphics card fan makes horrible noises when it's first fired up.......damn dust!!!!

Think mine is a GT440 (cost bit over $100) only got it to run Dual DVI .... Works well and quiet.

If I was building from scratch I would probably spend $200 on a video card (not $1900) I would struggle to spend that much building a really good system including 27" Monitor!  :victory:

Yeah, I think I paid around $130....Pretty much a waste spending more as |I'm not into gaming so find even the on board graphics are quite adequate for the stuff I do.

Must try out the dual DVI someday myself as I have a couple of spare monitors in the cupboard....Bit limited as to where I can place them though.  :undecided:

I'm running 23.5" and 24" (love a 27) but wouldn't fit that and one of the others.

Was mainly using 2nd monitor for watching TV but since restored the PC after SSD failure can only get 23 channels and mainly the ones I don't watch..

I have a compro one that I upgrade from I might try using that (thanks for reminding me) but I think the built in card has a better tuner! I can get a 16" LED TV with built in DVD recorder from Kogan for $99 + around $16 delivery but think Trish might reckon that is a bit over the top (and Kogan tuner might not be too flash)  :undecided:

But I'll try my USB dongle Tuner!  :victory:

Like I suspected the USB dongle only picked up a few channels (13) Versus 23 for the built in tuner ... Still about 20 short! I might try a splitter and run both  :goodjob:

As s dedicated PC gamer I have a decent graphics card which is well utilised but that that thing is on another planet so far as performance is concerned. It has its own closed loop water cooler for goodness sakes. Anyway if you wait a couple of weeks I am sure it will be down around the $200 dollar mark.  :goodjob2: :goodjob:  :whistler:

@Daz, go buy a TV and stick that on the wall instead. That will be a whole better experience - and you can use it as a third monitor anyway. I did this so I could take lectures while using the computer and it worked great.

I went with Keith's recommendation and got a nice little adjustable wall mount from Bunnings for $28 (adjusts up and down and sideways). Managed to pick up a 21.5 inch Dick Smith's brand Full HD LED TV for $198 with USB PVR and built in DVD player for (just) under $200 .. Got 43 TV channels and 10 Radio Channels  :victory:
