Hi folks :goodjob:

Picked up the i40 this morning and I have spent the day driving the 320 miles to Durham. Love the car to bits, very smooth, really impressed with cruise control, the inbuilt sat nav performed flawlessly and we have averaged 45 mpg which for a 1.6 petrol hauling 2 tonnes is superb.  Really, really happy with her, this is the most refreshed I have ever felt after 6 hours of driving!

If only that was the case, Trev...

I've had this happen previously, it's a bit bizarre as I always just click on "show all unread posts"......

Strange. That's all I do but apart from some time back when there was an acknowledged issue, I've never missed any.

It's very confusing driving in the UK Rusty. They park on either side of the road, regardless of direction of travel. Sometimes you can be driving down a street and you start to wonder if it's a One Way and you didn't notice when you drove into it.
Ironically, I DID drive the wrong way down a One Way street when leaving Aberdeen University after having coffee with Brian. :-[ :-[

So, is it actually illegal and they do it anyhow like here in Oz?

No, it is not illegal Russ, if it was it would simply be ignored though, the cops can't enforce the laws we do have!!

I could not believe the number of people in the NE of England who think it is acceptable to zip around at least 20mph over the speed limit, most of all in the 50,40 and 30 zones :scared:

I found that when I drove in Canberra several years ago.
I found the people there to be very friendly as lots of drivers waved at me everywhere I drove, which I normally don't have happen in Perth.
It was an unusual wave though but I guess it's just one of those local quirks.  :undecided:

One guy even ran about 20' to thump on the roof of the car. That was when I started to catch on. :whistler:  But by then I was back on a two way road - and about to get very lost in the western suburbs(?) of Aberdeen trying to find my way into the mountains with Brian's verbal instructions. :scared:
