Hey Guys
I'm experiencing some strange noises when starting the car in above than 10 celsius outside temperature.
The glow plug symbol goes off in less than 1 sec, I start, then after firing up the engine, for 1-2 secs, the engine sounds a little off. Like it's misfiring, or something.
Last I checked, there was no smoke after startup. And the funny thing is, in cold weather, under 10-5 celsius, it starts just fine (was fine before the weather got warm, and for a few days the weather got colder again to the point it started fine again).
Is this something I should be worrying about?
Other info:
63 000 kms on the clock, fresh fuel/oil/air filter, fresh oil.

Sounds like the glow plugs are shutting off too early. My understanding is that they continue to receive power for a few seconds, even when the engine is running, just to help ignition of fuel. The cold weather indicates they are working ok, but when warmer, the timer is not working correctly. Needs checking at a dealer or reputable workshop IMO.

Yes,I was thinking the same, even thinking about the plugs having a switch for a certain temperature above my plugs don't do anything.
Really strange,as with somewhat colder weather,it idles fine right after starting...

My CRDI just had mass airflow/sensor replaced because of some very rough idling after starting first thing at the beginning or end of the day, usually associated with some smoke. Could it be a similar problem?
-
Hm... Maybe its related, but in my case, there's no smoke. Well,if it has solved the issue for you, I should check the sensor.
Only question:can it be checked with a multimeter, for resistance or voltage?

I meant mass airflow meter / sensor. Not sure which is the correct term. I was simply told there was a retained code by the dealer.
All I know is it's no longer occurring since.
My car is MY2012 and has 60,000 km
