I'm going to have to do a check next time I go for a drive, but I'm sure I've seen some ridiculous figures in 1st and 2nd like 50ish l/100km!

By 5th with foot flat to the floor, I know the most I've ever seen is 16l/100km!

Regards

Daniel

Great driving, wish they made the auto in 6 speed, 2 Litre, like 138 HP and 304NM. Imagine that thing chipped, brakes and springs and shockers upgraded......

Just finished with the in car footage, which I put up on youtube, new PB of 1:10.86 and another 28 laps under my belt, car averaged 11.6L per 100km for the whole day too which was nice, so another 1/4 of a tank for the day :)

for the PB Lap

and
for a 300zx spinning in front of me

What QFM pads are you using?? I had HPX's in my Commodore and destroyed them in the 2nd session of 4 lap sprints, (melted the metal content). Also the pedal went spongy after 5 laps at  the  Phillip Island 6 Hour Relay last year on the replacement set.  I'm now using the A1RM's but not yet in anger. The guys at QFM said the HPX's are not good for track use..

After that 300ZX perhaps the subject should be changed to how to get the stain out of your i30 seats.

Nice videos mate. Dude in the Z might need the seat clean and pants check though.
Kept your cool and a good eye on him.  :goodjob:

Also wondered if you are reducing the weight much?
AM rotors?

That bloody box is letting you down.

Lakeside is such an awesome little track, so glad they re-opened it

If the box had another cog in it to space out between the 1:1 that is third to the 0.7 that is fourth it would go better, but you gotta work with what youve got i guess

I removed as much as i could so spare wheel, tools, rear seats are folded flat to lower the centre of gravity as much as possible, other than that not really.  I got a lot of advice from Razy on the brakes, and as he said to me the standard rotors are fine, they did the job really well, with the pad change and the fluid changed they were spot on every time i hit the pedal, even in the earlier practice sessions in the morning which I did 9 straight laps not once did the pedal go soft and they were all 1:12 laps bar one

Loved the cornering and the handling, just wish they made a version with a more performant gearbox.
I've used Bendix pads before for regular driving.
Would they be any harder or softer than the stock?

That was some great video.. Haven't seen the previous ones till today, so I checked them right after last one. Getting better and better. I'd love to race my i30 on the track like that too, but I know I'd have to change brake pads, all 4 tires,... So kind of feel sorry for the car and my wallet  :whistler: I remember when few of us guys improvised and made a small "track" few years ago, my tires on Hy. Elantra were useless after 20 min of driving :D But there were many many corners.

At least, it's nice seeing other i30 owner on the track  :goodjob:
