Title: Possible immobiliser fault?
Post by: j_w1985 on June 02, 2023, 18:23:37
I have a 2012 1.6 CRDI I30 Which has died and now will not start.

Background: My wife was on her normal commute to work around Christmas, she pulled away from a set of traffic lights and the car "learched and died" she attempted to bump start it down the hill she was on to no avail.

Got the car towed to my work to work out what's up but have hit a dead end.

See video http://youtu.be/IVMXTu4c6oI (http://youtu.be/IVMXTu4c6oI)

This is what it's doing, it's like the immobiliser is kicking in intermittently just as it's about to start, there are no DTCs, if I purposely activate the immobiliser (use a key with no transponder) it just turns over and the starter doesn't kick like in the video.

If anyone has any hints or tips they would be greatly received as I am now at a total loss with this.

Hi, how many cca has the battery got left? The eps was going off and on also, could be current draw that is messing with the immob.
