Interesting read.

I am currently in the market for a NAS device, as I was first looking at a HP ProLiant MicroServer but the latest Gen8 ones here are 6x the price of the Gen7 for some absurd reason, and so I have been looking at the WD MyCloud devices - but this makes me a bit sceptical about the whole shebang :faint:

My router has 2 usb ports for external storage, how do I protect them from this sort of intrusion. I have no idea.

We do share the 1 connected stick for use on our network at home, nothing sensitive, but that could change.
