Title: i30 DPF Regeneration in What Circumstances
Post by: Chubba on April 19, 2019, 20:01:57
Hi

I have a 2013 i30 automatic diesel and I was wondering if the regeneration of the DPF will work if the Eco mode is in force?

This is my first diesel car and whilst I have a vague idea about the DPF (such as usually needing motorway driving to regenerate it) I don't know if it will regenerate if in Eco mode. I've read that some cars' DPFs can regenerate under urban driving by forcing the car into increased revs automatically. Is this true and does the i30 have this feature as I've never really noticed any increased revs in my car?

Thanks
