Title: 43000 miles
Post by: ikev85 on December 30, 2017, 04:15:28
I turned 43000 miles (~69k kms) the other day.

No real problems to report. New set of tyres 10k miles ago to replace the garbage OEM Hankooks.

One under warranty fix for a fuel evap emissions canister replacement that threw a CEL around 25k miles.

Other that that just fuel and oil changes. I put in a container of fuel system cleaner at the last fill up since we have direct injection engines.

So long at 53.5k miles. Leftover 2018 MX-5s with 8k off and cheap financing called my name.

@ikev85

Congrats on the new wheels! You are more than welcome to stay around. Keep us posted on how the new convertible behaves and post some more pictures etc.. in member's other motors. :goodjob:

I had 3 cars from the other side then came back to the fold in a big way... :cool:

1yr on the MX-5 and 12.5k miles (not driving an extra 800km a weekend anymore in addition to work commuting helps) two giant door dings from jerks at work and a car wash attendant broke off the terrestrial radio aerial.

I still miss my 2014 i30/GT. I miss the hatchback utility and the looks.

Sadly the 2018+ packaging in the US makes it so you can’t get it fully loaded with a manual (sunroof, etc) even on the turbocharged Sport version.

Sorry to hear about the dings in your baby...  :Pout:

Yeah Manuals are a dying breed here as well.  :spitty: :Dunno:
