 Grandad Peter Thurston has combined his love of camping and sailing - by creating the ‘catamavan’.

The 80-year-old came up with his quirky invention because he could not afford a cabin cruiser.

I don't see what is so amazing :undecided: it's an old caravan stuck on a pontoon :whistler:

If he could expand on that "amazing" build of his with some vertical features called "partition walls" :wink: he'd have a house boat :D

Shame they didn't post up some better photos as it would be interesting to see how much wider the "cat" is compared to the caravan... :neutral:
As most of the weight of a caravan is low, you'd think it would be reasonably stable...  :undecided:

Catamarans are stable in calm waters, but absolutely terrible in larger sea states.  They don't ride very well with larger seas.
