So, today the odo turned over and showed the magic 200.000 km.
The car is now 6 years and 2 month old. I bought the car second hand nearly 3 years ago with 126.000 km on the odo.
Have I had any problems with the car..? Not really, except what I regard as normal wear & tear.
I did have some problems with the sensors in the DPF, but I still believe that was caused by the RaceChip tuningbox I was stupid enough to fit. A costly experience I could have lived without, but own fault.
Other than that, only normal wear & tear:
@ 154.000 2 glowplugs died, I replaced all 4.
@ 172.000 the rear brakepads were worn. Disc's still fine.
@173.000 the left steeringrod balljoint needed replacement due to a defect rubber grommet.
@ 182.000 A/C condenser (cooler) was replaced due to leakage.
@ 184.000 washerpump/motor was replaced as it wouldn't wash the rear window.
@ 184.000 an ABS sensor at the front wheel needed replacement.
@ 199.000 I got a letter from Hyundai regarding replacement of brake light switch and control of steering column.
Except for the DPF sensors all work I've done myself, and most parts are bought from Korea as Hyundai seems to think their spareparts are made of gold.
We tow our 1400 kg caravan 3400 km every summer, and the little car have never let me down, and I expect to keep it for many years if it continues to behave well like that.
I like the handling, the space in the cabin, especially at the rear seats where our 2 boys, both 180+ cm high, have plenty legroom.
I normally average around 5,3 L/100 km, but last fill have so far been at 5,1 L/100 km for the last 1012 km. Still 150 left in the tank according to the board computer.
