Anyone had any experience with a good outside car cover that fits a PD?

I don't personally use them though I have a family member the keeps his MX5 under a Coverall Gold which Supercheap currently have on special. :link: Coverall Waterproof Car Cover Gold Protection - Suits Hatch Vehicles | Supercheap Auto

There are other brands like Evolution from Autobarn which even give hail protection.

Thats the one I have, but I paid full whack for it  :fum: :fum:

Aldi will have "hail resistant" one again in an upcoming specials... apparently they are fairly decent.

I'm not a fan either.
My daughter used one when she worked in Darwin for a year.
There are some rub marks in the top coat which I remain convinced were caused by the cover moving a little bit in the wind.

Yeah that would worry me too. Even worse if any grit gets under it!

Mine lives under a car cover in the backyard as it very rarely gets driven, has no visible scuff marks.

Amusingly the only time it has no been covered was a few days ago when we had the threat of hail.

I have a Supercheap cover I used on Firty for the 15 months she was in storage, but as a dust cover, indoors, no wind.

Yep. That'd work fine.

They do make some covers with felt lining to prevent scrubbing, show car specific covers are made with that in mind.

I think the fact that the car couldn't be washed regularly is the key.
Dirt and any kind of covering isn't going to end well.
