anyone interested in a day trip,drive,cruze,whatever you want to call it. [an i30 convoy,if we get enough of them] like the korean i30 club pics posted by seoul-mate. any ideas on place and date ?.

I'm near dandenong in hampton park,and yes i know where caroline springs is.any ideas on a day out or half a day out.i just love driving my i30.i put a sports exhaust on it saturday just gone and shes getting lowered tomorrow.have you posted any pics of your car yet. cheers steve.

:lol: i wish i could mod it too.. Just got it 1 1/2 months again...no money yet..plus does it void the warranty wen mod??? Ive just installed 8k HID and jus brought some LED parkers..
Will load pics up wen i get my lights...

I'm holidaying in Melbourne at the moment, love to join you guys,
but we flew here ( see below) and the i30 is still basking in the Queensland sunshine.
We have been here 2 weeks and are just now acclimatising to the Melbourne chill.
PS. (And just going off topic here)......Will never consider flying with Tiger airways again after a
disasterous start to our trip.
They forgot to tell us the flight had been altered so that it left 2 hours earlier than originally
scheduled. They reckoned they had emailed me and tried to call me 4 times to advise of the
change but I think that is bull###t.
Ended up paying a small fortune for an alternative flight on Virgin. So now I am telling anyone
who will listen to boycott Tiger.
Sorry if there are any members in the club who work for Tiger, but if you do, tell em I ain't happy!!!

Thanks for the heads up Russ I'm heading to W.A. in a few months and was considering going Tiger to save a few $$ but will forget it now..
There is a new show on telly called airways or something and it must be sponsored by Virgin or Jetstar as every week they have unhappy Tiger customers
and that was putting me off too...
Sorry to hear about your big hiccup.. if you ever get to Tassie you'd be very welcome to visit.. :mrgreen:

Should be fine Oz, just make sure you get confirmation of the flight by ringing them
a few days before and also again at the last minute.
To be fair to Tiger we did fly the return flight from Melbourne to Brisbane with them
as we had already pre booked the tickets. The return flight was without incident.
But I have still vowed never to use them again because of the original incident, so
when we fly to Melbourne ( and go to Bendigo) again this Sunday it will be with one
of their competitors.

Was just looking at google map. now the pit lane area seems to only have single lane parking!! is that correct 2i30s??? sorry im not too sure.. would turn 3(MASC) or 4(bob jane stadium) be better as there is a open car park area.. please help...

I work all week and then there is a house and family to look after. Saturday afternoon is my only time for getting out and about. I would prefer later in the day because it is a bit of a drive (to anywhere!!!!!) from my place, :rolleyes: but I don't want you to change your plans just for me.:-[ I will wait until the next get together.

Nov 8th?? I'll be a bit late. I'll only get to Melbourne around 11th of Nov. It'll be my first time there. I haven't been outside Darwin much since I've been here, due to that fact that I'm an international student so every time I get a holiday I have to work my a** off for my fees. :lol:
We've planned a road trip that will take us from Darwin through to Alice to Uluru to Barrossa Valley to Adelaide and the to Melb and to the snowy mountains and to Sydney and finally to Brisbane and back to Darwin. All in my GURKHA.
So hope you guys have a good time.

Yea I sure am :lol: We do have a group. My cousin is our guide he's been around quiet a bit. We will only be there for 3 nights. Not a very long stay. Our main stop is Brisbane so, we are kinda passing through these places.
Our original plan as to go to Brisbane, but now we are taking a slight detour ;) . It'll be gr8 if we can meet. I have no idea what to do there so, I'll just follow where my cousin suggests.
