Title: ODB2 connector
Post by: Wingerdave on January 31, 2015, 16:50:53
Anybody know where the OBD2 connector is in the i30 GD? I'm putting a profile together for Torque Pro (used it a lot in the Dodge Caliber).

Bugger, does that mean that that cover has to be removed and stay off during driving?

That OBD connector is most likely seated in some kind of slot where you can slide it out off and then have the connector hanging underneath the fusebox..

Not got one in the engine bay too like the FD?

Otherwise something like this might help

I realise this is an old post, but I recently saw this video:

:link: Carputer Part 2 - OBD2 Dongles - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJcUoX3CpSw)

This guy bought a replacement fusebox cover and cut out a hole to fit the ODB2 connector - thought it might be useful advice for others.

Cheers

Haha, yeah it looks like he was in a rush but given some more planning I reckon you could make it look half "ok".
