I do not have the external amplifier. It's somewhere at the back and right of the car.

in my country the models differ and i have some of the options of the SR but i want to see the actual amplifier to convince myself

Hmm, LHD pics, everything flipped for RHD ...

That puts the AMP in the back left hand quarter panel trim area instead of right hand.

I'd gone out earlier and had a looksie at the trim in the boot and noticed the shape and buldges are there with an item close up against the trim.

If i only knew how to safely remove that trim i'd take a pic.

I wonder if the 6 speaker SLX happens to get the AMP, when the wife gets home I might have a deeper look.

The Australian SLX with the 6 speaker setup doesn't have the amp. Only the SR gets it.

I don't know which one has the external amplifier. I just found that text and it was about the SR.
Maybe I could find more info of it.
