Probably a stupid question and I'm not sure if this is a problem but the glass surface of my new i30 has the feeling of static electricity when i rub lightly with my fingers on it. I'm just worried that it can cause problems to my headlights if it's kept like this. I recently added HID lights on so maybe my connections is not grounded properly? Anyway to solve this?

Its plastic isnt it? I mean the headlight cover? Mine is anyway & plastic can charge up with static to some very high voltages but there is negligable, almost non-existent current so I dont think your lights are at risk.

And are you sure it's not you yourself carrying the static charge?

If it bothers you that much, you could wipe the plastic with anti static solution or fabric softener, and stop rubbing it.
