my radio does a "TP search " while im listening to FM radio every few minutes. it's very very very annoying & have no idea how to switch it off. I read on another forum that it's a TA (traffic announcement) & I must disable it on menu settings but this does not work. Can someone also tell my what PTY search is. The car manual is not helpful as it is too generic.

PTY is "Program Type" (Jazz, Pop, Rock genre etc).

I don't know what model radio you have, but if it's similar to others from your country then I'm not surprised you've had problems. I am surprised that turning off TA doesn't stop the search for a Traffic Programme.

In the radio's SetUp, there's RDS, SDVC, Scroll. Under there's AF on/off, news on/off, region on/off, time, TA volume on/off. There's no specific button for TA or TP.. If I cant find solution, im gona go to a dealer & seek assistance.

A few bits on there we don't have. Never seen more than one passenger seatbelt indicator!

just want to update that for some reason the TA/TP have disappeared    but I have no idea how. maybe in the midst of pressing every button that is available, I finally pressed the right one.
