Title: DPF temp sensor
Post by: hneel on January 21, 2024, 14:16:37
Another question. Like I said in another thread today: the car senses that the temp doesn't raise high enough for regeneration. Now this can mean 2 things: either it indeed doesn't raise high enough, or the sensor is wrong.
In my experience any kind of electronic sensor either gives a correct value or it is broken and give no valid value at all. I've not yet seen a sensor giving a value that looks plausible but is incorrect.
Or am I wrong? In that case this sensor could be the problem:

I've already seen it, and it looks a bit bent, and covered in soot.

But I have trouble finding a replacement online. The webstores either give a lot of wrong models or nothing at all. Where can I find the correct one?

And can this sensor be disconnected from the car? Usually you have to pinch somewhere on a connector, but I wouldn't know where.
