Hi All, I know this is an i30 page but i have seen on here a topic of i40 diesel cars with gearbox shudder and want to see how evryone got on or is getting on.
We have a 2017 i40 1.6 diesel with DCT, emailed Hyundai on January 27th 2022 and informed them of the issue we had noticed and they said to bring it in. Couldnt get it there till 14th February 2022 where they said the clutch needs replacing but as our warranty finished on January 31st 2022 and it is classed as a wear & tear item, we bought the car @ 48000km october and when we took it to Hyundai it had done 57000km.
Really really frustrated that they are going to say no to replacing it when it is 14 days out of warranty but we informed them in January.
How has everyone gone after the clutch was replaced? Should i be getting them to check the DCT oil and upgrade the software from (from DUFOD17U5S5 to DUFOD17U5S9).
Any information will be greatly apprciated
