Title: 2013 diesel active auto won’t start in parked
Post by: Yogibear07 on December 15, 2023, 14:47:45: Hi, I have just bought a 2013 i30 active auto 1.6 diesel and I have noticed a problem. It will not start in the parked position yet if I move the selector to Neutral it starts

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Post by: Aye30 on December 18, 2023, 10:11:43: Yes , there is a switch in the gearshift mechanism. A member within the last year had this exact problem. I believe they removed the trim around the gearshift and found the problem switch. I don't know if they cleaned or replaced or repositioned. But I think I remember it being a simple fix.
