Title: Clutch slipping after changing clutch twice
Post by: Chris2016 on February 22, 2016, 14:01:28
I have a 61 plate Hyundai i30 1.6 diesel, changed the clutch after it started slipping in high gear, fine for a few thousand miles then started slipping again, found the crank seal with a slight leak, cleaned out the bell housing and everything replaced seal and clutch everything fine for 3000/4000 miles then again started slipping first in 6th gear then 5th now 4th and 3rd
Anyone got any ideas?
Thank you

An imi approved garage that I've been dealing with for years never any issues, always busy and plenty of good reviews, I have no issue with what the garage has done, I know the parts used were the same quality that came out

Hi Chris and  :welcomettc:

That's terrible (and very expensive) I can't help but hopefully someone like our master technician (Cruiserfied) will see this and comment.

Unless you're a poor driver, I would suggest it could be a matter of adjustment. Thee are settings for the clutch pedal inside the car, the master cylinder and the clutch release cylinder and the clutch itself. Suggest you have it investigated thoroughly.
