Hi All,

This is my first post in this forum, i am owner of Hyundai i30 premium which is 3 years old. Today morning, I realized that reverse camera and parking sensors stopped working. Has any one faced similar issue? Is there any quick fix without going to repair center ?

Thanks so much in advance.

Best Regards

:welcum: I would suspect a cable has come adrift somewhere, but could be hard to locate. I would just use your warranty.

Thanks for your response. Do you think, it will be covered under warranty ?

If your car is still under warranty, this will certainly be covered. :goodjob:

Hi, I checked again, and found that reverse lights are also NOT working. And also, front sensors works but not back sensors. What you think is the problem? thank a lot for responses.

Reverse gear sensor in the gearbox.  When the sensor doesn't send signal about reverse gear is selected, none of the systems know they should operate.

Do you reckon that would be an expensive fix? @Asterix

Unless you have installed something to cause an issue you really shouldnt even worry about it. Get yourself booked in and let Hyundai sort it out.

The sensors will only be inoperative due to not getting a reverse signal. They will begin working as normal once reverse light problem is fixed.
There aren't many things that can go wrong with reverse lights. Fuse, Switch, Wiring or Earth really.

Hi All,

Just to update that I got my car fixed from the Hyundai, They said that it was the wire which was the problem. They mentioned that it was cut by the mice. I wonder how mice can enter. They mentioned that it wont be covered under warranty as this is due to mice. but now its fixed, and I am happy for it. Thanks alot for your help.

I have another question regarding the windshield rubber, It not cleaning properly the glass, so should I only change rubber or complete blade? And can I do it myself? Can I buy this online by mentioning just i30? Or may be I should raise a separate thread for this question.

Hi Richi,

Rodents can chew wiring but unusual to chew that one.. usually they do damage under the bonnet. Which would be easier to get to.

Quite a bit of discussion on here about wiper blades. Just search "wiper blades" in the search engine.

Hi,

Actually I believed the service guy as he is from biggest car dealer here, he just told me that he is very sure, its mice as he saw many traces of the same. He dint show me any picture, neither I asked unfortunately. May be I was really stupid, should have asked him to prove.
