Post by: Jarle Van Landeghem on October 19, 2021, 19:28:37
hello guys I had some questions!

I have an Hyundai I30 FD 1.4 petrol 5 speed manuel
I have this car now for some time and I want to turbocharge it to make more power. I have lots of room in my engine bay so it should work. can you guys help me with finding parts or with tips and tricks.

Anyway thank you for reading this!

You'll be up for a small fortune, gearbox will need upgrading as well as drive shafts, exhaust system modifications, ported head with new cam and valve springs.

Then you'll need something like a Haltech ECU to make it all work and that alone with tuning would be roughly 3 to 5K AU.

Be cheaper to get a factory turbo engine - gearbox and driveline from another Hyundai or trade up to a turbo model.
