Being a higgorant Pom I need to ask what it is. Is it perhaps a long service badge of some sort
Whatever - I'm sure you thoroughly deserve it - so congratulations

Yeah. I've seen something similar before, the same ribbon, maybe a slightly different clasp? Think it's for a specific length of service (without being tossed in the brig? :))
Anyhoo's, congratulations for getting that 'gong'. :goodjob2:

Can'y be a General service medal - to the best of my knowledge Gonz isn't a General. :winker:

It's the fifth clasp to my Defence Force Service Medal, representing 40 years of service.
The full medal ends up looking rather blingy with five horizontal silver bars down the length of the fabric above the medal while the ribbon version transitions from a line of four rosettes (each representing 5 years beyond the bare ribbon's 15) to a single Federation Star in the centre.

So, Gonzy, are you still in (permanent?), or have you continued on in the 'Reserves'? Whatever, 40 years is a long time! :goodjob2:

Still the full package at SERCAT7 but the dollars don't add up. The sooner I transition to Reserve the better off we'll be with the tax-free Reserve pay, lump sum and pension.
In fact, if I transition to Reserve 2 days a week I'll be earning more than on my current 5 days! :crazy1:
