Title: Hippo's trip to Schoenmakerskop, South Africa
Post by: PhireSideZA on November 08, 2014, 18:31:02
Hi all.

I took Hippo out today to Schoenmakerskop outside of Port Elizabeth as I was planning on seeing a nice red sunset. Alas, in the last half-hour before sunset some ugly thick clouds pulled in but I managed to grab a few shots of the surrounds while I was there.

En route just past Cape Recife

Come on, sunset!

A little bit further down the road

Thanks all :)

I was experimenting a bit with the RAW shooting mode on my Canon SX50, as I was planning on messing around a bit in Lightroom. The SX50 is a great little camera but it makes me wish I had a proper DSLR, but maybe one day when I can afford one I will spoil myself to a nice model. I have no complaints with the SX50, it takes great photographs for a bridge camera :goodjob2:

I am heading off to the farm next weekend so I will probably play around a bit more then and hopefully manage to find that elusive red sunset I was hunting yesterday :p
