Title: Cooling Fan on a lot
Post by: Paulq on June 23, 2014, 21:50:25
It's been really warm here (NW UK) this week but I have noticed that the cooling fan on the car seems to be coming on a lot.  When I start from cold the fan is not on but it starts as the car is warming up and generally stays on until I turn off the engine.

Is this something others have experienced or should I get it checked?

Is the A/C on  That will cool the condenser.

Yeah the AC has been on quite a bit - I'll try leaving it off and see I guess.

The fan will always run when the A/C is running, because the heat from the car's interior is dissipated by the A/C condenser which is located in front of the radiator. It is quite normal, no need to use the A/C less.  :goodjob2:
