Title: Windscreen replacement
Post by: druggist on August 13, 2018, 11:53:51: Friend with PD SR copped a broken windscreen, NRMA insisted on genuine replacement for $2620 including recalibration of cameras.

Makes the non genuine one for my FD at $195 rather cheap.

I expected the i40 to have all the extra fruit.

Mine is probably the last of the old series, given how hard it was for the dealer to source.

That is if they keep bringing the sedan in I guess....

Post by: mickd on August 21, 2018, 09:03:17: When we got our Santa, I checked with O'briens and they said $2500 plus if broken or crack in safety zone, as all the gear needs to be removed from the glass, cleaned, attached to new screen, screen reinstalled, then calibrated and certified as compliant with Australian Standards.
We opted for windscreen cover , first time ever. So far had 1 star crack repaired outside of safety zone to stop it spreading.
