Hey all...

New user, although I don't have an i30 [yet].    Been lurking in these forums to get as much feedback on the car as possible.

See you all around!

Simon

Welcome Simon....

Hope we've convinced you to go with an i30 (don't think we've got a member that regrets their purchase...)

Thanks for joining..looking forward to your questions and updates..

Hi Simon,  If you are still undecided as to whether or not to get an i30 or not, than you have come to the right place. You will find lots of good information and hardly a negative comment about the car here. Except for bitching about a long wait that is.

Welcome aboard

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.    It's not so much a question of if I get an i30...  8-)

Based on your comments, can I confirm :-

1.  you now receive 2 key FOBs with an i30
2.  factory cruise control will be available for the diesel models

I hadn't read anything regarding point 2... anyone care to provide evidence?    And if point 2 is true, does anyone know of a timeframe?

Which leads me to my final question:  manufacturers usually bring out a model update annually - any ideas as to when the i30 is due for this?  (I'm assuming that perhaps this is when they'd look to incorporate cruise as an option).      I checked redbook.com.au to see when Hyundai have brought out updates on other models, but there is no consistency (ie September every year).

Thanks!
Simon

Simon,
I ordered my i30 in May and was to be a end of June Delivery. Then I found out about the Diesel Cruise change. I contacted my dealer and they then contacted Hyundai. The change was to happen in May build cars but now it is June build cars. My car  is due to dock at the end of July now with a early August delivery. Mine is confirmed by the dealer as having factory cc on the diesel.

Hyundai head office are keeping this quiet for now...
Talk to your dealer..  If they order your car now, you should be right.. But be ready for a 2-3 month wait..

Mine was ordered ex factory as I wanted an Auto with protectz pack.. hence the delay.
