Title: Heater fan issue I30 FD CRDI 1.4 2010
Post by: Yoki44 on April 18, 2023, 21:00:35
Hello,

I have a Hyundai I30 FD CRDI 1.4 2010
My car got a problem with his heater fan. The fan blows nothing. No sound, no air. As if the fan was turned off. Here is a list what I checked :

- 2 AC fuse of fuse box in passenger side : OK
- Blower fuse in engine bay near the battery : OK
- Blower relay in engine bay : OK

:link: Imgur: The magic of the Internet (https://imgur.com/yiIeIYU)

- Blower resistors : OK
- Blower itself : OK
- Continuity between blower relay in the fuse/relay box near the battery and the blower : Not OK

Is there another relay ? Is it hidden ? When I removed the air blower, I didn't see anything...

Or my harness is faulty ? Should I check under the fuse box in the engine bay ?

Thanks for your help

Hello again,

I checked under the engine bay fuse box and nothing weird... The yellow wire is connected to the relay.

Have you put 12 volts to the fan to see if it works?

Continuity between blower relay in the fuse/relay box near the battery and the blower : Not OK

So possibly a break between the yellow at the fusebox & the blower. Could be tricky to find that... I can't see there being any other scheduled link along that line. May have to run another wire alongside the harness down to the blower.

Have you put 12 volts to the fan to see if it works?
Definitely do that too.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer. The fan works when I put directly a 12V... It's weird that the wire is broken, there is no moving part... Thank you for your help !
