Hello people,

I'm sorry for my bad english but I try to make me understandable.

I own a Hyundai i30 2007 115cv diesel, with 130 606km on the clock.

I seek over the internet for my prblm but didn't find anything on the subjet maybe you can help me.

I have a strange noise coming from the hatch when I'm driving, like a big vibration with a clear noise when I bump on all the little imperfection of roads.

When the car "jumps" a little, this sound come instantly as the hatch window was rebounding on the plastic...

Does this happens to anyone here ?

TIA

Val

Hi Val

Check your Overslam Bumpers to make sure they're not too tight to the car frame.

These are rubber stoppers that buffer the trunk when closed - try unscrewing them a little.

Hello Shambles

thank you for the so fast answer and the welcoming.

I was so shy to post here it's hard to explain car problms when you don't speak english !

I see perfectly those plastic things you're talking about...I tried to press them before just to see but now i'll try the opposite as your suggests !

I'll let you know if it worked !

Ty !

Hi Ty,

Could it just be your parcel shelf rattling?

@guitarized . My hatch had a similar sound. Eventually I solved it by wrapping a small amount of tape (gaffer tape, race tape - whatever you call it in France) around the metal hook the hatch links into in the middle of the bottom of the hatch area. You have to close the hatch just a little bit more firmly but the noise is gone (for me).

PS. And off topic, I've had a few Renaults in my time.

And a 750 I meant to restore but never got around to it. Passed it on to another guy in the Renault Car Club of Queensland and he did.

lol.
Not on the 750. But I did on the Gordini after I rolled it. And on the R8 to convert it for rallying.
