My only rattle is now an ex-rattle!

It was the one several have reported, sounds like a tinny noise light tinkly rattle, or even similar to electrical arcing & it comes seems to come from inside or behind the instrument binnacle on RHD models, and can be VERY intermittent....

Feel / look down the left hand side of the steering column all the way down to where the knee protection under the dashboard finishes, then feel under there about 2 - 3 inches up. There is a sharp thin piece of metal and a pipe which feeds air from the heater matrix. It is the plastic pipe that rattles on the thin metal, so either stick some rubber foam insulation pads on the pipe or, as I did, bend the thin metal away from the plastic pipe...

I am now officially rattle free!

I looked but couldn't find this thin piece of metal. Might have to take the cover off...

The dealer couldn't get rid of the rattle I have under there. They tightened and checked all the parts. They said they'll have to pull the dash out for further investigation if I want. I'm reluctant though because this could cause more rattles! Can you take any pics Ffoxy??

I found & fixed it by feel. Almost impossible to photograph without dismantling, but it was fairly obvious to be honest, find the plastic pipe that feeds warm air to the footwell just under the dash, & the sharp metal is literally a fraction of a centimetre closer to you when sat in the seat, it is directly between the plastic air pipe & you but up behind the dashboard, still not rattling in mine...  :)

No idea, I didnt take it off... I just felt up there (ooer Missus) flicked the plastic pipe almost by accident & there was my noise... a bit of a good tug on the sharp metal bit & the noise is gone. No dismantling & I havnt even seen the parts responsible...  :D

OK try this one...

Try "flicking" your foot off the clutch pedal, get my drift? Press it gentle then slide your foot off the side of the pedal...

As the pedal shoots back up under spring tension see if it makes a similar (but possibly louder) noise that you are hunting for.
