Hello,

I have just bought a pre-registered classic i30 bluedrive.  I had my first long drive today, to work, and at the end of my journey, when stuck in traffic, I had the message "autostop has been deactivated".  The outside temperature was 2 degrees celsius, my heaters were on medium heat at speed 1.  The coolant temperature was 90, I was 35 minutes into the journey.  The Autostop button light was yellow.  I was in neutral, foot on the footbrake, or handbrake on made no difference.

What am I doing wrong?  The car has 100 miles on the clock.

Thanks

Ady

Welcome to the forum Ady1927,

Probably nothing. At 2 Deg c with heater on, I would assume the engine runs to provide cabin heat. Others with Bluedrive will set you straight I'm sure.  :goodjob2:

The blue drive in my car is deactivated after a cold morning start for a few miles and is also deactivated below 3 to 4°C.

It is also deactivated when the DPF is regenerating - which in winter can be after only 100 miles or so if the car has done lots of short drives (such that the engine has not got really hot regularly) and no long fast cruises..

The ISG light in the button normally illuminates when the auto system deactivates ISG and when you press the button to turn the ISG off. If it stays on when the car is moving whilst the air temp is above 4°C and the heating is turned off - it may indicate a fault to be referred to the dealers if you are confident the DPF is not regenerating at that time..
