First a hello from Dennmark :) I'm the happy owner of a 3 months old Hyundai i30 GD station car with the 1.6 diesel.

is there someone who knows if you can change from L/100km to km/L? I have been my entire user manual through without finding a solution :(

Best Regards Simon

Well then I have to live without :(

How about windows up and down via the remote for the doors?

My company car, Volvo XC70, has that. And it's really nice on a hot summersday :)

The remote window control has been done - check out the modifications section ;)

Can't say I've seen a km/L request before...

It's a bit like cricket scoring 100 for 6 or as in Oz 6  for 100.

Strange that the UK uses Distance travelled for measured quantity of fuel (MPG), but in metric terms it's normally fuel consumed over set distance. Took me a long time to get used to l/100k but I'm ok with it now.

There are fuel setting available but probably worth asking at your dealer.

For the price tag here in Denmark it's a really nice car :) I've paid 250.000 Danish crowns, roughly 28.000£! And it's a special price, since the dealer is my dad :p and the car had done 6500km as a demo car. Standard price for the "comfort" model starts at 30.000£ ! Have in mind that we have to pay 180% of the cars value in a tax, to get plates on the vehicle :(

I've just return from a 14 days Holliday trip, to France and Austria - to kilometers end up to 4200km :) And I'm pretty happy with car so fare :)

Simon, we had a middle of the range previous series Diesel hatch for over 2 years (loved the motor and most other parts of it)

My wife now drives a previous series 2.0 ltr Petrol CW..

I have always said that a combination of wagon body and diesel drivetrain would be hard to beat  :goodjob:

Nowt strange about that - on the forum many Aussie members discuss fuel consumption in terms of km per tankful.

I agree, strange that we had to change from MPG to l/100k's. Personally, I'd have been happy with Km's / lt.

... and being the purist engineer, I would prefer metres per litre to stay with scientific units of measure - aw, heck, if Watt and Pascal can do it, so can I:

From this day forth, let the unit of fuel consumption be known as the Gonz, equal to 1000 metres of travel for every litre consumed.

Let's see, that would have Frugal Firty (4.1 lph) doing 24.39 G - near enough to the familiar mpg and everything about the world is restored to normality thanks once again to the Gonz!

No prizes for 2nd place.  :P

Should I update the forum fuel calculator to provide Gonz units as well? Huh? Huh? Should I? Huh?

Hail The Gonz :D

From this day forth, I shall ask my service station manager why the pumps do not show "Gonz" instead of that old measure "litres".

My wife is the daily driver of the car, since I have the Volvo xc70 :) And so far she is pretty happy with it. When I told her I was going with the Diesel engine, due to her 120km daily drive,  it took a lot of talking and test drives(thanks goes to my old man).y wife had never before driving diesel cars, and she was pretty sceptic. But now she wouldn't trade for anything else :p
