2 new cars

Hi all,

I've been lurking here to gather information.
I've ordered a hatch and a wagon and just took delivery of the hatch today. Both are SLX diesel
Couldn't get the colours I wanted as they are too popular so the hatch is red and the wagon is white

I hope to help contribute to this community as time goes by

I think I'd best emigrate to Victoria or Sydney... seems you folk there can afford multiple brand new cars... must be loaded

My cw is supposedly on a ship that docked today (21.5.09) in Sydney. The only colours available were White, Black and Red. Seeing as I already have a red and black is no a safety colour, white is it. Apparently Moonlight Blue is discontinued in Aus, and I figure other colours had already been preordered by the time my order got in

So depending upon customs and getting tinting etc done a few weeks away

Not so much loaded as by necessary. We have been a one car household for 10 years, but with the kids getting older we are often going in different directions. The I30s were a great choice to get something with the features we wanted at a reasonable price

Is your car green? Not a colour we get here

I just purchased 2 cw's last week, ETA for Black and Vivid Blue is 26th June, perhaps they are on this boat and i can get them earlier.....Here is to praying.

cs's in silver, one should be here early july the other late, picking up both on the same date so rego and insurance is easier (all starts/ends on same day)

However, not being quite as (not) rich as you I bought a second-hand Getz after the i30 impressed so much... guess what? It rides like a go-cart but it's nearly as much fun to drive as my i30 (in a completely different way).

So you have two the same but I have variety... s'like two ~~wives~~ girlfriends.

Earlier on this thread it was mentioned that moonlight blue was discontinued and elsewhere steel grey as well?

THey are both still current on the Hyundai Australia site for both Hatch and CW.... wonder what is going on...

Assume some new colours on the way...."Very interesting"

When I ordered my SXcw last Friday, I saw the printout on the dealer managers desk and he pointed out to me that Steel grey had been superceded by something like "Hyper Silver".

You wonder why they supercede what appears to the most popular (or at least one of the most popular colours..)

Yeah I was told Moonlight Blue was to be replaced by a colour called Sky Blue - I assume lighter maybe like the blue Mazda have. No ETA yet on when.

Hadn't heard about Steel Grey going though

Think my getz was sky blue.. not a bad colour (probably the most poplular colour in the getz)

It was a great little car got it new in 2006 .. only had it about 12 months before trading on Tiida for the wife (needed a bigger boot for the grandkids..) they wouldn't fit in the Getz boot

Was about 4 months old in this photo..
