++ Finally, 9 months after buying the I30, I sold my Volvo S80, to someone who is actually going to fix it and not just scrap it.

+ Got a nice long drive to Oslo Airport tomorrow where I am...
- Picking up mother and father in law for a three week stay at our house.
+ At least there better than my parents.

I didn't even react today as I would normally,just pulled the screwdriver out,Packed the hole with powered anti-biotic,then put a pressure bandage on. All good

- last night I performed my duties with as much distinction and tact as is required of my current job. This entailed a military staff car to Jakarta, an overnight hotel stay, attending Indonesia's TVRI studio and engaging in lots of photo shoots with girls in uniform.

- for those with means, the show airs this Sat 9pm Jakarta time.

- it includes me representing the college through stand up comedy and lots of dancing.

- today is Indonesian Independence day and I again discharged my duties as well as I could attending the presidential palace and posing for more photos with girls

+ the hotel was nice.

Independence Day sounds like much more fun than Nyepi Day, that happened to coincide with my birthday this year, for which I had gone to Bali to partake in fun, frivolity and partying.
Instead, I was forcibly couped up in my luxury villa with private pool and a fridge full of Bintan and Bombay Sapphire.

There's a fair bit of Kamera Ria TVRI on Youtube and I did find via Google a site that promises to do live streaming of it, so I'm sure it'll come up. If you're not used to it, you'll find it very juvenile compared to what we'd do in the Western world. I had to abandon all 'Western' dignity and play like a 10 year old, best policy for building international relations.
