Welcome and congratulations on the new car.

By the time you have spent a bit of time on this site we'll have you speaking fluent Australian...  :snigger:

Love the car. Only one thing wrong with it the pictures are too small!  :winker:

You can definitely add bigger pictures by clicking on "click here to add an image to your post" and following the instructions...

Bonjour Raf,

Your pictures are excellent. I too took delivery of my i30 in July. Mine is a PD2 version, a June 2018 build from Ulsan in Korea. You say yours is a PD version. Yours does appear identical to mine. I presume yours was built in the Czech Republic. I have been trying to find the difference between the PD and PD2 versions. Someone else may be able to inform us what the essential difference is. There are several PD2 variations appearing in Australia now.

There is very little difference (nothing cosmetic externally as far as I am aware) The SR Premium model now gets a slightly upgraded Infinity Audio with a subwoofer and the Active gets leather wrap Wheel and gearshift.

See here..

Hello, Thanks for the pictures :goodjob:

Yes this is the PD1 version, I received it in November 2017 and yes it was built in the Czech Republic.

It is difficult to compare models between different countries because the options and finishes are not the same. I have all the options available for Switzerland.
But apparently we have the same options inside and for security and I have all the options of your pack "SmartSense".

This is the version 1.4 L with 103 kW and 242 Nm (140 hp) with the DCT7

I see some differences like:

- The muffler that is not visible here. (I find it a pity here)
- You do not have fog lights in the front (why?)
Otherwise some aesthetic details like wheels (18 '') or engines.

As you are probably aware the other big difference is we only get 1.6T 150 kW and 250 Nm (201 HP) and a naturally aspirated 2.0 petrol + the 1.6 Diesel of course.

I can only assume they deleted the fogs due to our generally better weather conditions in most of Australia and as a cost saving measure.

My understanding is that each country's Hyundai division (and other brands too I imagine) make a pitch to "head Office" for the must have features they want for their markets and then the "bean counters" would play around with the different combos to come up with a cost versus features compromise.

WHat features the key oposition in that country have would also have some impact in the final spec as well.
