Done the lubrication thing a 1000 times.
They also can't be sure about the source of the sound (I can't either). Engine noise doesn't help.
The brake-booster was once mentioned, but I think they are just waiting for the waranty to expire...
One thing that seems odd enough (and I didn't mention so you don't think that I'm crazy) is that, every time I stop near a motorbike (those ones with 1-cylinder and 600+cc) brake pedal is trembling faintly to the rythm of the... bass  Thankfully, there aren't many Harleys on our roads.

Just remembered this brake test I've done 9 months ago, just after the strange noise appeared (the green words by me)

Seems that brake perfomance (60%) just exceeds the min. requirements (55%).
Front axis brake power is 1680 N, a narrow performance IMO comparing to the rear axis brake power (which is BTW uneven with 2080 N Left and 2120 N Right).
Handbrake is already fixed (at least so I think).

Numbers confirmed the strange feeling I had when braking. I can't say if it is due to time wear, but I'm pretty sure that it came up along with the creaking noise and the vibrating (on idle) pedal when a single-cylinder XT-600 passes by
Dealer does not consider the brake perfomance and the creaking brake as related and since numbers are typically OK, I can't claim anything.

- Has anybody done a brake test?
- What is the normal (not minimum) figures for a car with only 18.000 kms on clock? disks /pads were in perfect condition by the test time (I always slow down using the gearbox)
- Is it ok that the rear axis is braking with 20% more power than the front one? As I've said before I don't drive a motorbike but I think that braking /locking the rear wheel is strictly forbidden.
- Is the uneven braking on one axis normal for a car with ESP? or it is uneven just because of that?
- Should I expect a further deterioration as kms are added on the clock? Although today, after 8.000 kms, nothing has changed.
- What was the real name of Marilyn Monroe?

The first who answers, wins an all-inclusive trip for two :p

Dunno about the brakes. I guess if they stop ok then that's all that matters.

Marylin Monroe's name was Norma Jeane Mortensen Baker BTW

No prize, Dazz beat me to it.

Ok, but I would be obliged if you two, had a Newton force-meter attached to your right foot as well

In Greece (and everywhere else as far as I know), every two years we have to take a safety test (MOT). The brakes are tested too and the results (N) are printed on a paper :p
Anyway, that's what I'm looking for :foottap:

No such tests required in Tassie (I think it is 3 years in some "North Island States" :whistler:

i know that if you get a road worthy certificate done on an older car i Victoria a braking test is part of the road worthy test.  :winker:  but this is only done on a vehicle being registered from scratch, not re registered.

Just further on that comment from 2i30s....if you buy a secondhand car (in Victoria), it also requires a roadworthy certificate before you can register it in your name... :)
In Tasmania you don't...is that still correct, Daz?  :undecided:

And also, if you register a car in Tasmania you have to provide a certificate to prove that you've taken at least one horse & carriage off the road, otherwise they hit you with FGT
(Flatulence Gas Tax) to compensate for your horse's emissions.
They're doing well down there and catching up quite quickly now.

Hey Babis, sorry about your issue, i'm deaf so would not worry me at all . but if it was a safty issue i would feel it. my advice is louder sound system or better sound proofing in the floor.
cheers
