"Command Not Possible" when trying to make calls using voice commands

Hi I've just upgraded from my 2012 i30 Active to a 2013 i30 Style Nav.
The voice commands seem completely different between the 2 models.
I have been unable to use voice commands to make a call after many many attempts, although my phone is connecting through bluetooth without any issues.
I can receive calls and the other voice commands seem to work but I often have to make calls whilst driving so this issue is really affecting me.
I have gone through the manual and it says I should be able to use the voice command "Call Name" but I just get the message "command not possible".
I checked the software version and found there was an update available, I carried this out and it took nearly an hour to complete but the issue remains.
Please could somebody help?

I'll check mine tomorrow (today actually, seeing as it's just past midnight),

Not really used my voice control but when I did try to call by name, it didn't work.

Hi Dazzler, Thanks for your post.
In answer to your comment about changing so quickly (Which I've had a few times since changing cars);
This makes perfect sense to me but not to some so here goes;
I liked my i30 Blue Drive Active so much that I wanted to keep it for a while but missed the extra features of the Style NAV.
I leave near a large car dealership that specialise in Nearly New cars and I took my mum there to look for a car but spotted this new i30 Blue Drive Style NAV Tourer in White and liked it myself.  I was really impressed with the spec and the shape.  I think it looks better than other estates and I really liked the hidden storage compartments under the floor of the boot which maximize the usable space.
I love my new car but the Bluetooth issues is really frustrating me as it feels like a step backwards as thsi funtioned worked flawlessly in my older car.

So you take the car back to the dealer and tell them to make it work.

Have to admit that the newer system is more like a step backwards, the ix20 happily accepted call name, the i40 doesn't.  Like Lester I scroll to the name, from a distant memory you now have to say phone and name but it didn't like the Scottish accent much and did all sorts of odd things even when I used that!

When Lester tried to use his voice activated calling feature, it probably asked "where would you like your beer delivering?" :lol:

Well I can 'confirm' now, that my voice commander will not select a name and dial it. Pathetic.

Thanks Shambles, it seems it isn't a fault as such, it's a "missing feature"!!!
The only way around it for now that I've found is to save my most dialled numbers as Speed Dial entries then I can all them using the voice command "Call Speed Dial 1" for example.
Really disappointing as I'm an engineer and travel around for work a lot and I use the voice call feature all the time  :disapp:

It's still worth reporting as a fault to Mr H, though  :undecided:

Take it to your dealer and tell them to "make it so"  :exclaim:
