Hi All,

I live in Syd Australia and need to get my hands on a couple of wiring plugs for the Auto Trans on my i30 and I cant afford to buy a harness, the dealer is trying to sting me $1800 and I have to wait 10 weeks.

So where can i buy some plugs to replace the burnt ones???????? or maybe someone works at a dealer and can snip some from an old harness maybe....

We are all a bit slow in here mate, so need to explain a bit more, like the i30 is less than three years old comes with a 5 year warranty, i would expect if you have a problem with your auto trans the dealer should fix you should not need to buy wirring plugs. so need to explain your self more.
i'm in Sydney too, welcome.

It should be a warranty problem, however I have caused the burn out but trying to fit an amp and sub, and, well i guess i have a bit more to learn about wiring.

Hmm....you might be in luck with this latest TSB....

1. DESCRIPTION
In bid to reduce electrical repair costs and improve customer satisfaction,
HMCA’s Technical Department has constructed a bank of wiring connectors with
terminals, to supply the Dealer Network should it be required for an electrical
repair. This will result in partial repairs being possible, instead of replacing the
entire wiring harness.

Which plug is it??

Hi Reecho...

U are a lifesaver, i need 2 of the following:
WRK006 P GEN A (3 pin)

Where can i get them as the bulletin says that you have to "place your order on the
Dealer Hot-Line of GSW" , can i do that or is there another way, or if you can get them for me I will pay for your trouble, its gotta be cheaper than payin the dealer $1800

Approach your nearest dealer and let them know some details of the TSB......

I've tried but they have told me that they cant supply plugs, only a harness. It had something to do with the plugs being for warranty only.....

The TSB says nothing about warranty only.....sounds like crap to me...

Try another dealer or get hold of Hyundai direct...
