Hi All, my 2009 i30 petrol automatic gear has an intermittent problem: from time to time my engine shutsdown while waiting at traffic lights and recently happened driving in low speed as well.
Other signatures happen the same time:
1. ESP OFF yellow light turn on
2. When trying to re-ignite there are few options that happen:
    a. in most cases - can not ignite on first try, car is shaking, eventually it ignites when i hit the gas but ESP OFF light still on   and car is faltering while driving. I must stop and re ignite
    b. Some time can re-ignite immediately and normally.
and sometimes the RPM stays on 0 and I hear a clicking noise and i feel that the gas peddle doesn't react normally until I stop, shut off and re ignite.

I connected to the computer and only got an ESP error. I cleaned the throttle as well and it helped for a week.
Do you have an experience with such problem, what was the diagnostic and the fix?
Thanks
Noah

At first thought I was thinking maybe fuel filter or dodgy injector but if your getting a fault light up then maybe that could be the cause :undecided: looks like a trip to Hyundai might be required for further investigation.

Almost a week without any problems.
I think they fixed it.
Solution: replaced the "RPM sensor".
Thanks for the help.
