Title: WirRAL Historic Vehical Rally 24 July 2016
Post by: eye30 on July 25, 2016, 09:43:42
The annual rally took place yesterday.

Not a very good day for it as it was showery.

Anyway as they had a lunch stop over just 1 mile from me I decided to brave the weather and popped along for an hour.

See how many of the cars you can name.

Each car has a number on it, although some had come off due to the weather, I'll see if I can get a link to the programme so you can check if you are correct, otherwise I'll scan it in later.

update link to Programme:

The little Austin, the first car in the list was first registered in 1933 which was it's  year of manufacture as well.  It was sold as a blue car and the engine was 748cc. It was probably a side valve as well meaning that  getting the head off for a decoke was a 20 minute job  :faint: :faint:

My first car was a ford of a similar vintage and if you ever managed to get it up to 40mph it was like a death ride rattling and shaking itself almost to pieces, EEeeee it wer grand back then  :crazy1: :crazy1:   :crazy1: :crazy1:

Didn't count them but I would get most of them, but not all.
Probably missed three or four.

In 1967 I rode in a Wolseley 24/80 brand new. Lovely ca, but the driver was my teacher and she used to regularly hit my arse with a beach bat, bitch.  :(
