I finally managed to shoot the video tour (followed by some comments from me) at Pulkovo airport. It begins at Pulkovo 1 domestic airport and finishes in our office with me appearing in video shortly.

I had converted the video to another format and had undertook some attempts to upload it to photobucket (no one was a successful though), when I saw it was available in Youtube finally.

Thanks Misha I watched a bit and book marked for later..You would generally only see Baggage trucks or catering vehicles driving near our runways in OZ (not passenger vehicles)

We've had some (big) Antonov airplanes few times on our airport (Brnik Slovenia). It was quite an attraction, every time it was there. Not because of it's size (well that also), but because of the shape. We were used to CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 and Airbus A300, 310.

I guess it was An124 landed at your airport, whereas there is one, that is bigger - An-225, not sure if it exceeds A380, though.

I just know it seemed huge to us. But you must know, that even Airbus A320 was big for us I also think it might have been AN-124, because there's no way AN-225 would fit on that airport. Even AN-124 had some "problems".

Hah, look, I even found few videos that were taken at our airport.. Antonov (AN-124) was quite an attraction.




As for A380 vs AN-225 -> http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/52/Giant_planes_comparison.svg I guess it exceeds it (looking at the size).

An-124 is a frequent guest at Pulkovo airport, actually. It would be nice to see An-225 land in Saint-Petersburg one day, though

Just a crow on the wing. That bird was waiting for a chance to get closer to plastic garbage bags when there would be nobody near them, but once the bags had been loaded to the car the crow flew away.
