Hi. I'm very new to the world of Hyundai, only ever had one previous car ('96 Ford Escort). I just bought a 2012 i30, the pre face-lift model and I have a few questions.

1. USB. The car has a USB port and but I can't find a USB button anywhere. I have to use the mode button to cycle onto USB but I see there are buttons for the other modes. So am I missing something here? Also, the car doesn't stay on USB mode. Every time I stat it up it's switched from USB to AM and then I have to press the mode button again. I almost exclusively listen to music via USB so I was wondering if there's a way to make the car stay on the mode it was last in.

2. Bluetooth. I bought the car second hand and the dealer didn't specify whether or not it hand Bluetooth. So far as I can tell, it does not. Which is a bit strange on a car this nice but it is a 2012 I guess. I know that I could buy an aftermarket Bluetooth kit that transmits FM or uses the aux port but I would like proper integration if possible. So if  anyone knows if there's a hidden feature or if I just need to pay extra to have some sort Hyundai Bluetooth kit installed please say so.

3. Cruise control. The car did not come with cruise control but I've heard that it can be added fairly cheap. If anyone has done this or knows of places in South Africa that do it, please let me know where, how much, if you think it's worth while and all those such things.

4. Auto-head lights. Is there anyway to adjust the sensitivity of the automatic headlights?

I haven't been able to find much about the older i30s on so any and all feedback is greatly appreciated

 :welcome:

Do you have a picture of your dash for us to see?
We all own different models and luxury levels and they are different in different countries, so images are best.
I'll make assumptions it's like the FD here for now:
USB: Do you have a healthy USB plugged in all the time when starting the car?
Bluetooth: There are very cheap Bluetooth options that can be wired discreetly behind panels out of sight for less that changing out to a newer head unit, which may also be a cheap option.
CC: Members have added OEM CC without too much trouble and the How To is somewhere in this forum.
Auto Headlights: Don't know without looking at a circuit diagram but you can always reduce the light reaching the sensor in several practical ways (but probably not increase it).
