Anyone else tried this stuff ?

http://www.shell.co.uk/home/content/gbr/products_services/on_the_road/fuels/fuelsave/unleaded/

I've had two tankfuls and my MPG seems to have gone down from 31 to 29.5. I know that is very low but I do lots of very short drives with plenty of traffic lights on the way.

My Laguna used to do 22-23 on the same runs so it is an improvement on that !

It may be that the weather has got colder and so needs longer to warm up ?

May get next tank from Tesco to see what that does. :)

I understand thatl these "saver" fuels are subject to tests, at present.
A full report is imminent.

Got a tank of Tesco unleaded (with 5p off per litre) and doing very similar MPG, around 29.6 according to display.

I wonder if the fuelsave works better with higher mileage cars ?

had same issue with shell unleaded myself.  one of the garages i usually use changes from shell to petrogas and i am getting noticeable better mpg by nearly 1.  put cruise control on at 70 mph and return 40.5 all day long
