Title: Help should pipes be connected to these
Post by: bowyer on January 23, 2023, 10:57:21

Was wondering if this is correct? And if the pipes should be connected to the two inlets and what do these pipes do?
Thanks

Looks like someone has disconnected the heater core hoses.

As above, looks like the heater matrix has been bypassed, is probably blocked or leaking.

Doesn't look like they forgot to reconnect the hoses - that blue connector looks quite deliberate. As above, probably bypassed due to an issue with the heater core.

As for reconnecting, you may find the hoses refit in the order you see in your photo - they're probably not long enough to be misfitted.

May be worth flushing out the heat core that try and find the fault out. If it’s the heat core I bet it may be expensive to replace! More that the car is worth!!
Thanks for all your help
